MONT BLANC SKI MOUNTAINEERING
MONT BLANC SKI ASCENT WITH GRANDE COURSE MOUNTAIN GUIDES.
At 4,810 metres, Mont Blanc is one of the great classic ascents in the Alps and one of the world’s most iconic ski mountaineering objectives.
Due to the altitude, we recommend undertaking the programme with several days of acclimatisation beforehand, although it is also possible to complete the ascent as a fast-paced 2-day programme for participants who are already acclimatised.
Duration:
Depending on the programme chosen.
4-Day programme:
Day 0: meeting and equipment check. Overnight in the Chamonix Valley.
Day 1: acclimatisation day.
Day 2: acclimatisation day.
Day 3: approach to the Grands Mulets Hut. Take the cable car to Plan de l’Aiguille.
Elevation gain: 850m.
Day 4: ascent of Mont Blanc from the hut and descent to Chamonix on skis.
Elevation gain: 1,750m. Elevation loss: 2,600m or 3,500m if descending all the way to Chamonix.
